The Mix & Match tab appears in the Product Data panel whenever the product type is set to Mix and Match. It replaces the standard WooCommerce pricing fields for price calculation purposes, though the underlying regular_price is still set automatically for WooCommerce compatibility:
- Fixed Price mode sets
regular_priceto the fixed price value. - Base Price + Add-on mode sets
regular_priceto the base price value. - Per Item Price mode sets
regular_priceto 0 (since price is dynamic).
Practical example — a 6-item snack box at a fixed price:
- Edit or create a product → Set Product type to Mix and Match.
- Open the Mix & Match tab.
- Set Pricing Mode to Fixed Price → enter
24.00in Fixed Container Price. - Set Minimum Quantity to
6and Maximum Quantity to6. - Set Child Product Source to Product Categories → select your “Snacks” category.
- Click Update.

Customers will see all products in the Snacks category, can pick any 6, and will always pay $24.00 at checkout.
Supported product types for child products: Only simple products that are published, purchasable, and visible are eligible. Variable products, grouped products, and other Mix & Match products cannot be used as child items.
