Follow these steps to go from a fresh installation to your first tracked visit.
- Go to Track Your Traffic → Settings and confirm Enable Tracker is toggled on (it is on by default).
- Set your preferred Cookie Duration. The default is 180 days, which means attribution data persists in the visitor’s browser for six months.
- Make sure Exclude Admins & Editors is enabled so your own admin visits don’t inflate your numbers.
- Save your settings by clicking Save Settings.
- Visit any page on your site’s frontend in a browser where you are not logged in as an admin. You can test using an incognito window. Add a UTM parameter to the URL, for example:
https://yoursite.com/?utm_source=test&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=launch. - Return to Track Your Traffic → Dashboard. Within a few seconds the visit should appear in the Today counter and the Top Sources table.
Your tracker is now live. Every visitor who arrives via a UTM-tagged link or a detectable referral source will be attributed automatically from this point forward.
